Design Afrika
In 2014 Cape Town was World Design Capital. I was invited by Matylda Krzykowski and Agata Karolina to participate the first edition of Common Methods.
During a few weeks I collaborated with Design Afrika. We combined my visual esthetics with their knowledge about traditional craftsmanship. The carpets are woven with three different techniques all made from reed and leather.
Design Afrika was founded in 1995 and is dedicated to revitalizing the ancient craft of African basket weaving.
